Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Commission Tribute to Commemorate the 150th Anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation

The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Commission of the Virginia General Assembly and the Richmond Symphony will present a public concert on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 8:00 p.m. at Richmond CenterStage’s Carpenter Theater, 600 East Grace Street, Richmond, Virginia, to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation. The concert, featuring Elegba Folklore Society is one of the signature events of the Commission’s celebration of this historic event. The Honorable Henry L. Marsh, III is the Commission’s Chairman.

The public is invited to attend this special free concert performance. While there is no cost to attend, tickets are required. Tickets will be distributed on a first come, first served basis and will be limited to two tickets per person.
