What’s in a Memorial Park?

October 18 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm

During this tour, learn about Africa’s spiritual and architectural influences on the pristine, well-kept, centuries old grounds of Hollywood Cemetery. This space largely honors America’s forefathers, mostly Virginia natives, along with Confederate soldiers. Seeing the Kemetic architectural and mortuary practices in this cemetery helps us recognize the vast knowledge and innovation enslaved Africans brought from their homelands, honed for centuries prior in the the birthplaces of civilization, and used to build this nation. What’s in a memorial park? Take this tour to find out.
