Elegba Folklore Society to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the abolition of slavery (via Virginia This Morning)

RICHMOND, Va – The Elegba Folklore Society is hosting the Juneteenth 2015: A Freedom Celebration, and Founder Janine Bell visited the studio to share all of the exciting events visitors can experience. This celebration marks the 150 year anniversary of the abolition of slavery and will feature many performers and speakers throughout the weekend. The event starts Friday, June 19th at 6pm with The Symposium at VCU. Click here for tickets.
